Though we’re likely to have some winter weather yet to come, hints of spring are beginning to appear, especially in the greenhouse. From perennials to annuals to herbs and Easter flowers, growing seedlings are beginning to fill every available surface.
March is an ideal time to start garden prep and planning for this coming spring. Think about cutting back ornamental grasses, cleaning up perennial beds, preparing garden soil for veggies and herbs, and pruning and fertilizing certain shrubs and trees. If you’re stuck on what to do and when, let us know! It’s also a great time to start sowing indoor seeds.
Easter is only a month away! Easter flower orders should be made by no later than March 19th. Our bulb plants such as daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths will be coming out of the cooler in the next few weeks, and our Florist Hydrangeas are beginning to color up.
We can’t wait to see you in spring!
